Cape Arago Lighthouse can't be visited by the general public, but can be viewed from Bastendorff Beach County Park or by finding your way through the underbrush along the many "trails" at Sunset Bay State Park. To reach Sunset Bay, turn at Virginia Street in North Bend (Highway 101 Mile Marker 235.5) Turn left on Broadway, then right on Newmark Street (there are signs at each turn indicating Sunset Bay or Shore Acres). Follow road through Charleston Boat Basin. Bastendorff is about 10 miles from North Bend, and Sunset Bay State Park is about 12 miles from North Bend.
